Pianist Martin Kaciuk was born in 1976 in the Czech Republic and studied piano at the Janacek Conservatory and the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Prague. In 2004, she accompanied the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Kenichiro Kobayashi, on a tour of Japan, performing concertos by Chopin and Dvořák. This album was recorded shortly after her victory at the "Prague Spring International Competition," and features poetic performances of works by Schumann and Rachmaninoff, demonstrating her abundant talent.
