There’s something undeniably cool about a mechanic suit.
It’s the simplicity of it; one piece that reduces the friction of getting dressed. Built for movement, built for work, built to be worn without overthinking.
Historically worn on factory floors, airfields, racetracks and in workshops, the one-piece suit was designed to simplify the job at hand.
Ours is made using a 10 oz Japanese cotton herringbone and stone washed for a rugged, broken-in feel. It's substantial enough for utility, but comfortable from the first wear.
“Rivay Airways” is chainstitched across the back; a nod to when we hand-delivered packages to customers in our vintage cars during the pandemic.

But what we found while developing ours was that its usefulness extends well beyond the garage.
It’s become a go-to for the in-between moments of the day; gardening in the early morning, weekend house projects, running errands, long drives, travel days. Situations where you want to feel put together but completely unencumbered.
There’s nuance to it.
Worn over a tee, an oxford, or even a henley, the suit takes on a different character each time, somewhere between uniform and personal style.
It’s utilitarian at its core, but never one-dimensional.
Think of it less as workwear and more as an all-purpose layer for the hands-on parts of life.
