The Oxford Cloth Button Down (or “O.C.B.D”) is a stalwart of men’s style for good reason - It’s versatile, durable, comfortable and just looks “right” no matter the occasion or place. It’s hard to improve a classic, but there are a few thoughtful details that make the Shaw different from the rest.

As always, we start with the fabric. For the Shaw, we used a Japanese Selvedge oxford cloth that is distinctly softer, with a more broken-in hand feel than the more common drier and rougher oxford cloth. Since the selvedge edge is so special and unique, we ran it up the length of the inside front placket and along the bottom edge of the side gusset. 

The button down collar length is neither too long nor too short, allowing the Shaw to achieve a restrained but visible roll. In true Ivy fashion, the Shaw is finished with a third button on the backside collar and a box pleat topped with locker loop below. Pre-washed for a lived in, hand-me-down hand feel.

100% Cotton Japanese Oxford Cloth

Turn garment inside out, machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Wash with like colors or separately, do not bleach, tumble dry low. Remove promptly, warm iron if needed.
